Back in 1989 we notice a need in the Aircraft Industry for a system to rework interference holes such as HiLoks, HiLites, Eddie Bolts, Lockbolts or Steambolts. After years of research we developed a unique system so versatile it’s like nothing else available on the market today. So unique it earned U.S. Patent #5051045. We started our quest to give the structure mechanic the tools needed to reduce redundant rework, while simultaneously increasing production. We designed a “solution” you can bring to the “problem”. This all gave birth to our 43-piece HL-1-MK Master Hilok Rework Kit our first kit. Not just a kit, a system the mechanic can bring to the problem. Easily repair elongated, eccentric or double holes. Our system works so well because we addressed the problems with rework. We gave the mechanic a magnified bird’s eye view of exactly where the cutting tool will go with our OBS Series bombsight. No more shining a flashlight down the bushings hole to align the drill bar. We took it one step further. We invented the OL Series Bombsight Light. Now the mechanic has a fully illuminated and magnified view of where the flat bottom reamer (FBR Series) will go. Your mechanic now has access to a solution they can bring to the rework. With our HL-1-MK master kit and the matching FBR-HL-SET all that is needed is a hole to rework (HL-2-MK combines both in one case!). The HL-1-MK or HL-2-MK has 8 different drill bars (HL-3-MK also includes our vac-bar) to fit into any area, 16 Bombsights with a single circle the size of the reamer, a light to go over the bombsight which illuminates the rework area and a matching set of SF drill bushings all ready for the FBR series flat bottom reamer to rework the hole right the first time.
